This easy-to-make apple crumble features tender cinnamon-spiced apples topped with a buttery, oat-filled crumb topping. It’s the perfect dessert to enjoy with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream!


Ingredients

  • 4 cups of peeled and sliced apples
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup of butter

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, and cinnamon. Stir until well mixed, then pour the mixture into a baking dish.
  • In another bowl, mix together the flour, brown sugar, oats, and butter. Use your fingers or a pastry cutter to combine until the mixture is crumbly.
  • Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the apples.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the apples are tender.
  • Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice to the apple mixture.
  • You can substitute the apples with pears for a different flavor.
  • Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.
