Description
These delightful Apple Pie Bombs are made by encasing sweet apple pie filling in soft biscuit dough, then air-frying them to golden perfection. Coated in a cinnamon-sugar mixture, they offer a warm, gooey center with a crispy exterior—perfect for a quick dessert or snack
Ingredients
-
2 cans Pillsbury Country biscuits (10 pieces per can) or 1 can of Grands biscuits
-
1 cup apple pie filling, roughly chopped
-
½ cup butter, melted
-
¾ cup granulated sugar
-
2 teaspoons cinnamon
Instructions
-
Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
-
Separate the biscuit dough and roll each piece into a 4-inch circle.
-
Place approximately 1 tablespoon of chopped apple pie filling in the center of each dough circle.
-
Fold the dough over the filling, pinching the edges to seal and forming a ball.
-
Dip each ball into the melted butter, ensuring it’s fully coated.
-
In a separate bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon.
-
Roll each buttered ball in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until evenly coated.
-
Place the coated balls in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not touching.
-
Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown.
-
Remove from the air fryer and allow to cool slightly before serving
Notes
For a richer flavor, consider using Grands biscuits.
Ensure the edges of the dough are well-sealed to prevent the filling from leaking out during cooking.
These Apple Pie Bombs are best enjoyed warm.
