- 8 slices of bread
- 8 slices of cheddar cheese
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 8 slices of bacon
- Butter
Instructions
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef and diced onions over medium heat until browned. Drain the excess fat and set the beef mixture aside.
- Cook the bacon until crispy, then set aside.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread.
- On the non-buttered side of four slices of bread, layer a slice of cheddar cheese, a spoonful of the cooked ground beef mixture, a slice of tomato, two slices of bacon, and another slice of cheddar cheese. Top each with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side up.
- In a skillet over medium heat, grill the sandwiches until the bread is toasted and golden and the cheese is melted, flipping halfway through to ensure both sides are evenly grilled.
Notes
- For a spicier twist, you can add pickles, jalapeños, or a drizzle of sriracha sauce.
- If you prefer a different cheese, Swiss or American cheese work well too.
- For an extra-crispy sandwich, you can press down on the sandwich with a spatula while grilling.
