Description

This dish features succulent shrimp baked in a flavorful garlic butter sauce, topped with a crispy Parmesan crust. It’s a quick and easy meal that’s perfect for weeknights or entertaining guests.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • ¼ cup (60g) unsalted butter, melted

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • ¼ cup (25g) grated Parmesan cheese

  • ½ cup (50g) panko breadcrumbs

  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for added spice)


Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.

  • In a bowl, combine the melted butter, olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).

  • Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss to coat evenly with the garlic butter mixture.

  • Transfer the shrimp to the prepared baking dish in a single layer.

  • In a separate bowl, mix the grated Parmesan cheese and panko breadcrumbs.

  • Sprinkle the Parmesan-breadcrumb mixture evenly over the shrimp.

  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque, and the topping is golden brown.

 

  • Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For a spicier version, increase the amount of red pepper flakes or add a splash of hot sauce to the garlic butter mixture.

If you prefer a gluten-free option, substitute the panko breadcrumbs with gluten-free breadcrumbs.

This dish pairs well with pasta, rice, or a fresh salad.
