Description
A hearty and delicious sandwich featuring homemade meatballs smothered in marinara sauce, topped with melted mozzarella, and served on soft hoagie rolls. Perfect for a comforting meal!

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 egg
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 4 hoagie rolls
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Form mixture into meatballs and place on a baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through.
- In a saucepan, heat marinara sauce over medium heat. Add cooked meatballs to the sauce and stir to coat.
- Slice hoagie rolls in half and place meatballs on the bottom half of each roll. Top with mozzarella cheese.
- Place sandwiches on a baking sheet and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- If you prefer a bit more flavor, try adding Italian seasoning or red pepper flakes to the marinara sauce.
- You can prepare the meatballs ahead of time and refrigerate them until you’re ready to bake.
- To keep the sandwiches from getting soggy, toast the hoagie rolls slightly before adding the meatballs.
