Description

This BBQ Pulled Pork Pizza combines the savory goodness of pulled pork with the tangy kick of BBQ sauce, all on a crispy pizza crust. Topped with gooey mozzarella cheese, fresh red onions, and a sprinkle of parsley or cilantro, it’s a fun twist on your classic pizza night!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup pulled pork (cooked and shredded)
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • Fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you’re using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating for a crispier crust.
  • Prepare the Pizza Dough:
    • Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. If you prefer a thinner crust, roll it out thinner for a crispy base.
  • Assemble the Pizza:
    • Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
    • Drizzle BBQ sauce over the pizza sauce, spreading it to cover the dough.
    • Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly across the pizza.
  • Add the Toppings:
    • Evenly distribute the pulled pork on top of the cheese.
    • Add the thinly sliced red onion on top of the pulled pork.
  • Bake the Pizza:
    • Transfer the pizza to the preheated oven (or pizza stone) and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Garnish and Serve:
    • Once the pizza is out of the oven, sprinkle freshly chopped parsley or cilantro on top.
    • Slice and enjoy your BBQ pulled pork pizza!

Notes

  • Pulled Pork Tip: If you don’t have leftover pulled pork, you can easily make it in a slow cooker or use store-bought pulled pork.
  • BBQ Sauce Variety: Feel free to experiment with different types of BBQ sauce to customize the flavor to your liking.
  • Extra Toppings: Add other toppings like corn, bell peppers, or jalapeños for additional flavor and texture.
