Description

These Best Fudgiest Brownies are a chocolate lover’s dream! Rich, dense, and perfectly fudgy, these brownies are baked to perfection with a gooey, melt-in-your-mouth center and a slightly crisp top. With a balance of brown sugar, butter, and high-quality cocoa powder, these brownies are sure to be a crowd-pleaser at any gathering!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 ¼ cups white sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 4 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (good quality)
  • 7 oz large chocolate chips or roughly chopped chocolat

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease it with butter.
  • Mix the Wet Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, vegetable oil, white sugar, and light brown sugar until fully combined. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and salt.
  • Combine the Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, sift the flour and cocoa powder together. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until smooth and just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Add the Chocolate
Gently fold in the chocolate chips or roughly chopped chocolate, making sure they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  • Bake
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter). The brownies should still be soft in the center for that fudgy texture.
  • Cool and Serve
Let the brownies cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before cutting into squares. Serve warm for the ultimate fudgy experience!

Notes

  • For extra fudginess: If you prefer an even denser texture, slightly underbake the brownies (check for moist crumbs rather than a clean toothpick).
  • Storage: Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. They can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
