Ingredients
-
8 oz steak (sirloin or ribeye), seasoned
-
8 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined
-
8 oz fettuccine or linguine pasta
-
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning (plus more to taste)
-
1 tbsp olive oil
-
2 tbsp butter
-
3 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 cup heavy cream
-
¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
-
Optional: crushed red pepper flakes or lemon wedges
Instructions
-
Season the Steak and Shrimp:
Rub steak and shrimp with Cajun seasoning and olive oil. Let them sit while you prep other ingredients. -
Cook the Steak:
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak 3–5 minutes per side, or to your preferred doneness. Remove and let rest before slicing. -
Cook the Shrimp:
In the same skillet, cook shrimp for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside. -
Boil the Pasta:
Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and reserve ½ cup pasta water. -
Make Alfredo Sauce:
In a clean skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and cook 1 minute. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Add Parmesan, salt, and pepper, stirring until melted and smooth. -
Assemble the Dish:
Toss cooked pasta in Alfredo sauce, using reserved water to loosen if needed. Top with shrimp and sliced steak. -
Garnish and Serve:
Sprinkle with chopped parsley. Serve immediately with extra Parmesan or crushed red pepper.
Notes
Rest steak 5 minutes before slicing to retain juices.
Use fresh Parmesan for the smoothest sauce texture.
Alfredo sauce should simmer gently—avoid boiling to prevent separation.
For more heat, add cayenne or hot sauce to the shrimp or sauce.
Substitute chicken for steak or try scallops for variation.
