  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg yolk

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (such as walnuts or pecans)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Mix in the flour and salt until well combined.
  • Press the mixture into the prepared pan. Bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
