- 1 cup brown sugar

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla until smooth.
- Mix in the flour and salt until well combined.
- Press the mixture into the prepared pan. Bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the top. Let stand for a few minutes to allow the chocolate to melt, then spread it evenly over the bars.
- Sprinkle chopped nuts over the melted chocolate.
- Allow the bars to cool before cutting into squares.
