- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 cups crisp rice cereal
- 1 cup caramel bits
- 1 tablespoon water
Instructions
- Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave on high for 1 minute, then stir until smooth and fully combined.
- Stir in the rice cereal until it’s evenly coated with the chocolate mixture. Press half of the mixture into the prepared pan, spreading it out evenly.
- In another microwave-safe bowl, combine the caramel bits and water. Microwave on high for 1 minute, then stir until smooth and creamy.
- Pour the caramel over the chocolate mixture in the pan, spreading it evenly.
- Top with the remaining chocolate mixture, pressing it down gently and spreading it evenly over the caramel layer.
- Refrigerate for 1 hour or until set and firm.
- Once chilled, cut into bars and enjoy these delicious crunchy treats!
Notes
- You can use milk chocolate chips if you prefer a sweeter bar.
- If you want a firmer texture, you can refrigerate the bars longer than 1 hour.
