- 20–25 slices of pepperoni
- 1 tsp dried oregano (optional)
- 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Marinara sauce (for dipping, optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the dough:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle or circle (depending on the shape you prefer for your pockets). - Add the filling:
Sprinkle a layer of shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over half of the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Top with a layer of pepperoni slices and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese. Optionally, add oregano and garlic powder for extra flavor. - Seal the pockets:
Fold the dough over the filling, creating a half-moon shape, and pinch the edges to seal. You can crimp the edges with a fork for an extra touch. Make a small slit on top of each pocket to allow steam to escape while baking. - Apply egg wash:
Beat the egg and brush it over the top of each stuffed pocket to give it a golden, crispy finish as it bakes. - Bake the pockets:
Place the pockets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and the cheese is melted. - Serve:
