  • 8 mozzarella string cheese sticks
  • ½ tablespoon milk or 1 egg (for brushing)
  • Flaky salt (optional)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 small garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 slice cheese (for decoration)
  • Marinara sauce, for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  • Prepare the Dough:
    Roll out the pizza dough onto a lightly floured surface. Use a rolling pin to stretch it into a large rectangle, about ½-inch thick.
  • Stuff the Rolls:
    Cut the mozzarella string cheese sticks into halves or thirds, depending on the size of your dough. Place one piece of cheese in the center of each dough section. Carefully fold the dough around the cheese, pinching the edges together to seal the rolls.
  • Prepare the Garlic Butter:
    In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, grated Parmesan, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped basil, salt, and pepper.
  • Brush and Assemble:
    Place each stuffed roll on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops of the rolls with the garlic butter mixture. If desired, sprinkle with flaky salt for extra flavor. For added decoration, place a slice of cheese on top of each roll.
  • Bake the Rolls:
    Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until they are golden brown and the cheese is melted inside.
