- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 1 cup cherry pie filling
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into 6 equal squares.
- Spoon some cherry pie filling into the center of each square.
- Fold the corners of each square towards the center, making a danish shape.
- Brush the edges of the pastries with the beaten egg.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make a glaze.
- Drizzle the glaze over the warm danishes before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute the cherry pie filling with other fruit fillings, like blueberry or apple, for a different variation.
