These adorable Cherry Mitten Hand Pies are the perfect winter dessert! With a sweet and tangy cherry filling wrapped in a flaky, golden crust, these hand pies are shaped like cozy mittens and make a festive addition to any holiday table.

- 2 cups cherries, pitted and halved
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 package refrigerated pie crusts
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix together the cherries, sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract.
- Roll out the pie crusts and cut out mitten shapes using a cookie cutter.
- Place a spoonful of the cherry mixture onto half of the pie crust shapes.
- Top with the remaining pie crust shapes and crimp the edges with a fork to seal.
- Brush the hand pies with the egg wash.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
- Be sure to seal the edges of the pies well so the filling doesn’t leak out during baking.
- For an extra touch, sprinkle the pies with powdered sugar once they’ve cooled.
