Chicken Stuffed Crescent Rolls Recipe

  • Author: Sarah
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings (depending on how many rolls you make)

Description

Chicken Stuffed Crescent Rolls are a savory, comforting dish that wraps tender chicken, creamy cheese, and seasonings inside a flaky crescent roll. They’re easy to make, wonderfully flavorful, and perfect for a weeknight meal or as an appetizer for gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Crescent Roll Dough: Store-bought for convenience, or you can make your own dough if preferred.
  • Cooked Chicken: Shredded or diced cooked chicken (rotisserie chicken works great for this).
  • Cream Cheese: Adds a creamy texture and richness to the filling.
  • Shredded Cheddar Cheese: For a sharp and melty filling.
  • Garlic Powder: To enhance the flavor.
  • Onion Powder: Adds depth to the filling.
  • Salt and Pepper: For seasoning the filling.
  • Parsley or Chives (optional): For garnish and extra flavor.

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Prepare the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined and creamy.
  • Prepare the Crescent Rolls: Open the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  • Stuff the Rolls: Place a generous spoonful of the chicken mixture onto the wide end of each crescent triangle. Roll up the dough around the filling, starting from the wide end and rolling toward the point.
  • Bake: Place the stuffed crescent rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Garnish and Serve: Optionally, sprinkle with fresh parsley or chives before serving for a burst of color and flavor. Serve warm.

Notes

  • You can add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms to the filling for added flavor and nutrition.
  • If you want a bit of extra flavor, brush the tops of the crescent rolls with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder or parmesan cheese before baking.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven or microwave.
