- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 cup pretzels, crushed
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar until smooth. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Mix in flour until well combined.
- Press mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
- Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until lightly golden brown.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips over the baked crust.
- Pour caramel sauce over the chocolate chips.
- Sprinkle crushed pretzels on top.
- Return to oven for 10 minutes, or until caramel is bubbly.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
Notes
- For extra crunch, use mini pretzels or larger pretzel pieces.
- If you like your caramel more gooey, reduce the baking time after adding the pretzels and caramel sauce.
- These bars are best when completely cooled and set, so be patient before cutting.
