Description

Churro Cream Cheese Bombs are irresistible bite-sized pastries filled with creamy cheesecake filling and coated in a sugary cinnamon churro crust. These warm, fluffy treats are perfect for any occasion and combine the best of both worlds—churros and cream cheese—into one delicious bite!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Churro Bombs:

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough (or crescent roll dough)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating:

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  • In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
  • Open the biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Flatten each biscuit into a small round circle using your hands or a rolling pin.
  • Place about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese filling in the center of each flattened biscuit. Pinch the edges of the dough together to seal the filling inside and shape the dough into a ball.
  • Dip each dough ball into the melted butter, ensuring it’s fully coated. Then, roll the buttered dough ball in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat it evenly.
  • Arrange the coated dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up.
  • Let the churro bombs cool slightly before serving. Enjoy while warm for the best experience!

Notes

  • You can use store-bought cream cheese frosting as a quicker alternative to the cream cheese filling if you’re short on time.
  • For extra decadence, drizzle the churro bombs with a bit of melted chocolate or caramel sauce.
  • These are best served fresh, but you can store leftovers in an airtight container for 1-2 days. Reheat in the oven to bring back the crispiness.
