Description

Cinnamon Sugar Brie and Apple Grilled Cheese is a sweet-savory twist on the classic sandwich.   • 4 slices of bread (brioche or sourdough recommended)

  • 4 oz Brie cheese, sliced

  • 1 apple (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith), thinly sliced

  • 2 tbsp butter, softened

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional, for drizzle)


Instructions

  • Mix cinnamon sugar: In a small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon.

  • Prepare bread: Spread butter on one side of each bread slice. Press buttered sides into the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat.

  • Assemble sandwich: On the unbuttered side, layer Brie and apple slices. Add honey/maple syrup if desired. Top with second bread slice, cinnamon-sugar side out.

  • Cook sandwich: Heat skillet over medium-low. Cook sandwiches 3–4 minutes per side, pressing gently, until golden brown and cheese is melted.

 

  • Serve warm, optionally with extra drizzle of honey or maple syrup.

Notes

Use ripe Brie for better melt and flavor.

Thin apple slices cook more evenly and soften slightly during grilling.

Adjust cinnamon sugar to taste—more for sweetness, less for subtlety.

Try with pears or add chopped pecans for variation.
