Ingredients

  • 34 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 810 pepperoncini peppers
  • ¾ cup juice from pepperoncini
  • ½ cup butter, sliced

Instructions

  • Prepare the Crock Pot:

    • Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot.
  • Add the Seasonings and Ingredients:

    • Sprinkle the au jus gravy mix and ranch dressing mix over the chicken.
    • Add the diced onion, pepperoncini peppers, and pour the juice from the pepperoncini over the top.
  • Add Butter:

    • Place the slices of butter on top of the chicken and seasonings.
  • Cook:

    • Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and shreds easily with a fork.
  • Shred the Chicken:

    • Once the chicken is cooked, shred it using two forks and mix it with the sauce in the crockpot.
  • Serve:

    • Serve the shredded chicken and sauce over rice, mashed potatoes, or on a sandwich for a delicious meal.

  • If you prefer a spicier dish, you can add more pepperoncini peppers or even a bit of the pepperoncini brine.
