Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 ounces mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 24 ladyfinger cookies
  • 1/4 cup chocolate shavings (for garnish)

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  • In another bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined.
  • Dip each ladyfinger cookie into the brewed coffee and layer them in the bottom of a dish.
  • Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  • Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and mascarpone mixture.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
  • Before serving, sprinkle chocolate shavings on top.

Notes

  • For a more intense chocolate flavor, increase the amount of cocoa powder or use dark chocolate for the shavings.
  • Make sure to refrigerate the tiramisu for at least 4 hours to allow the flavors to meld.
