Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs skirt steak
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 6 teaspoons garlic, minced
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup chopped parsley
Instructions
- Season the skirt steak with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the steak in the pan and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or cook longer if you prefer a different doneness.
- While the steak is cooking, melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat.
- Add the minced garlic to the butter and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant and golden, being careful not to burn the garlic.
- Once the steak is cooked to your liking, remove it from the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes.
- Drizzle the garlic butter over the steak, and sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley.
- Slice the steak against the grain and serve immediately.
Notes
- Skirt steak is best cooked quickly on high heat to retain tenderness.
- If you prefer, you can substitute skirt steak with flank steak or ribeye for different textures.
- For extra flavor, marinate the steak in olive oil, garlic, and herbs for 1-2 hours before cooking.
