Description

Easy Baked Teriyaki Salmon is a flavorful, foolproof dinner that’s perfect for weeknights. Tender salmon fillets are coated in a homemade or store-bought teriyaki glaze, then baked to juicy perfection in under 25 minutes. Sweet, savory, and packed with umami, this healthy dish pairs perfectly with rice, veggies, or noodles for a complete meal that’s as delicious as it is simple. No marinade needed — just brush, bake, and enjoy!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce (store-bought or homemade)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional, for brushing)

  • 1 tsp garlic, minced (optional)

  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated (optional)

  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

  • Sliced green onions (for garnish)

  • Lime or lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.

  • Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels and place skin-side down on the baking sheet.

  • (Optional) Brush salmon with olive oil for added moisture.

  • In a small bowl, mix teriyaki sauce with garlic and ginger if using.

  • Spoon or brush half the sauce over the salmon fillets.

  • Bake for 12–15 minutes (depending on thickness), or until salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temp of 145°F (63°C).

  • Remove from oven and spoon remaining sauce over the salmon.

  • Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve with rice and vegetables or noodles.

Notes

For extra caramelization, broil salmon for 2–3 minutes at the end.

Use skin-on salmon for more flavor and moisture.

Pair with steamed broccoli, stir-fried vegetables, or a cucumber salad.

Homemade teriyaki sauce: Combine 1/4 cup soy sauce, 2 tbsp honey or brown sugar, 1 tbsp rice vinegar, 1 tsp sesame oil, 1 tsp cornstarch, and 1/4 cup water. Simmer until thickened.
