They’re perfect for brunch, special occasions, or a simple breakfast treat. You can also make them ahead and reheat for a fast, delicious morning meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 slider buns

  • 6 large eggs

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 1 lb breakfast sausage (or bacon/ham if preferred)

  • 12 slices cheese (cheddar, American, or your favorite cheese)

  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (for brushing buns)

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional)

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line with parchment paper.

  • Cook the Sausage:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage, breaking it apart with a spoon, until fully browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat and set aside.

  • Make Scrambled Eggs:
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Heat a tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-low heat. Pour in the egg mixture and scramble, cooking until the eggs are soft and slightly runny (they’ll cook more in the oven). Remove from heat.

  • Assemble the Sliders:
Cut the slider buns in half, creating a top and bottom for each. Place the bottom halves of the buns in the prepared baking dish.
Layer the cooked sausage evenly over the buns, followed by the scrambled eggs, and then top each with a slice of cheese. Place the top half of the buns over the cheese.

  • Add Flavor:
Brush the tops of the buns with melted butter. For an extra flavor boost, mix in Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and onion powder into the melted butter before brushing.

  • Bake the Sliders:
Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and the sliders are heated through. For a crispy top, remove the foil for the last 5 minutes of baking.

    1. Serve:
Remove from the oven and serve hot. Slice the sliders into individual portions and enjoy!

Notes

  • Customize Your Fillings: You can easily swap the sausage for bacon, ham, or even veggies for a vegetarian option. Add sautéed spinach, mushrooms, or bell peppers for extra flavor.

  • Make Ahead: Assemble the sliders the night before and refrigerate them overnight. In the morning, bake them straight from the fridge, adding a few extra minutes to the baking time.

    1. For Extra Flavor: Add a drizzle of maple syrup or hot sauce on top for a sweet or spicy kick!
