Easy Chocolate Ganache

  • Author: Sarah
  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 1 ½ cups ganache

Description

This simple chocolate ganache is perfect for glazing cakes, filling pastries, or just enjoying as a rich, creamy chocolate dip. With just two ingredients, it’s a foolproof recipe that can be made in minutes!

Ingredients

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

  • 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Heat the Cream:
In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it begins to simmer. Do not bring it to a boil—just enough to heat it up.

  2. Pour Over Chocolate:
Place the chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl. Once the cream is heated, pour it over the chocolate chips and let it sit for 2-3 minutes to melt the chocolate.

  3. Stir Until Smooth:
After the chocolate has softened, stir the mixture gently until it becomes smooth and glossy.

  4. Use or Cool:
You can either use the ganache immediately as a glaze or let it cool for a thicker consistency, perfect for spreading or filling.

Notes

  • Make it Thicker or Thinner: To adjust the consistency, simply change the ratio of cream to chocolate. For a thicker ganache, use more chocolate chips. For a thinner ganache, add more cream.

  • Flavors: Feel free to add a pinch of sea salt, vanilla extract, or even a splash of liqueur like Grand Marnier for extra flavor.
