- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can cream of celery soup
- 1 package dry onion soup mix
- 1 3/4 cups water
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a 9×13 inch baking dish, combine the uncooked rice, cream of mushroom soup, cream of celery soup, dry onion soup mix, and water. Stir to mix everything together.
- Place the chicken breasts on top of the rice mixture.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
- After baking, let the dish stand for 5 minutes before serving. Fluff the rice and serve with the chicken.
Notes
- If you prefer, you can use bone-in, skin-on chicken pieces, though cooking time may vary slightly.
- For a bit of extra flavor, try adding a handful of shredded cheese or fresh herbs to the rice mixture before baking.
- You can also add some vegetables, like peas or carrots, into the rice mixture for a more complete meal.
- Don’t skip the foil! It helps to trap the moisture and ensures the chicken stays juicy while the rice cooks perfectly.
