Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, mix together the milk, sugar, and egg until smooth.
  • Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until well combined.
  • Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F.
  • Using a small cookie scoop, drop batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown.
  • Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  • Dust with powdered sugar before serving
