Description

These Hawaiian Roll Breakfast Sliders with Sausage, Egg & Cheese are a delicious, handheld breakfast option that’s perfect for feeding a crowd or enjoying a hearty meal on the go. The sweet, soft Hawaiian rolls are filled with savory sausage, scrambled eggs, and melted cheese, creating the ultimate breakfast sandwich.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pack of Hawaiian rolls (12 count)

  • 1 lb breakfast sausage (spicy or mild, based on preference)

  • 6 large eggs

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your preferred cheese)

  • 1 tbsp butter (for greasing)

  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise (optional, for spreading)

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional, for extra flavor)

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder (optional)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.

  • Cook the sausage: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage until browned and crumbled. Drain excess fat if needed, and set the sausage aside.

  • Scramble the eggs: In a bowl, whisk the eggs with milk, salt, and pepper. In the same skillet, melt a little butter over medium-low heat. Pour in the eggs and scramble until just cooked through (soft and fluffy).

  • Assemble the sliders: Slice the entire pack of Hawaiian rolls in half, keeping the rolls connected. Place the bottom half of the rolls in the greased baking dish. Layer with a generous amount of cooked sausage, scrambled eggs, and shredded cheese. Place the top half of the rolls on top.

  • Optional flavor boost: If you like, spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on the top of the rolls before placing them in the oven for extra flavor. Sprinkle with garlic powder and onion powder for an added savory touch.

  • Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the sliders are golden and the cheese is melted.

  • Serve: Let the sliders cool for a couple of minutes before slicing and serving. These are great with a side of fruit or a hot cup of coffee.

Notes

You can make these sliders ahead of time by assembling them the night before and refrigerating them. Just bake them in the morning for a quick breakfast.

For extra flavor, you can add some cooked bacon or ham along with the sausage.

You can substitute the cheese with American cheese, mozzarella, or a cheese of your choice.
