Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  • Add flour, melted butter, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl and cover with a damp cloth. Let rise for 1 hour.
  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a baking sheet.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella cheese, garlic, parsley, and Parmesan cheese over the dough.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Slice into breadsticks and serve warm.

Notes

  • If you prefer a crispier crust, bake for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • You can use garlic powder if you don’t have fresh garlic on hand.
