- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add flour, melted butter, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl and cover with a damp cloth. Let rise for 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a baking sheet.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese, garlic, parsley, and Parmesan cheese over the dough.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Slice into breadsticks and serve warm.
Notes
- If you prefer a crispier crust, bake for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- You can use garlic powder if you don’t have fresh garlic on hand.
- For extra flavor, brush the breadsticks with more melted butter after baking.
