Description

This Homemade Vanilla Cinnamon Milk Tea is the perfect beverage to warm you up on chilly days! The combination of fragrant cinnamon, rich vanilla, and creamy milk tea creates a comforting drink that’s both sweet and aromatic. It’s easy to make and will quickly become your favorite homemade tea.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 black tea bag (or 1 tablespoon loose leaf tea)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (plus extra for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 12 tablespoons honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
  • Ice (optional, for iced version)

Instructions

  • Brew the tea: In a small saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Once boiling, add the black tea bag or loose leaf tea and let it steep for 3-5 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea.
  • Make the milk mixture: While the tea is brewing, heat the milk in another small saucepan over medium heat. Add the cinnamon and vanilla extract, and stir until well combined. Heat until the milk is steaming but not boiling.
  • Combine: Remove the tea bag (or strain the loose tea leaves) and pour the brewed tea into your mug. Add the milk mixture to the tea and stir in honey or sugar to your desired sweetness.
  • Serve: Optionally, sprinkle a little extra cinnamon on top for garnish. For an iced version, let the tea cool, then pour it over ice in a glass.
  • Enjoy: Sip and savor the creamy, spiced goodness of this homemade vanilla cinnamon milk tea!

Notes

  • You can use any type of milk, such as almond milk, oat milk, or cow’s milk.
  • Adjust the sweetness to your preference; use maple syrup or agave nectar if you want a different sweetener.
  • This recipe can be doubled if you’re making more than one serving.
  • If you’d prefer to make it more of a “bubble tea,” you can add tapioca pearls for an extra fun texture!
