Description

Hot Fudge Brownie Bread is the ultimate chocolate lover’s dream! This indulgent treat combines the gooey, rich texture of brownies with the soft, moist crumb of a bread. The warm, melted fudge inside creates a decadent surprise, making it the perfect dessert or snack for any chocolate craving. With a crackly top and fudgy interior, this is one bread you’ll be making again and again.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Bread:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1/2 cup hot fudge sauce (store-bought or homemade)

For the Fudge Filling:

  • 1/2 cup hot fudge sauce (or more, depending on how much fudge you want inside)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

  • Mix dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

  • Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until combined. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and whisk until smooth.

  • Add cocoa powder and milk: Stir in the cocoa powder, followed by the milk, mixing until smooth and fully incorporated.

  • Combine wet and dry ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.

  • Add fudge sauce: Gently fold in the hot fudge sauce to the batter, creating pockets of fudge throughout the batter.

  • Assemble the bread: Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Spoon the fudge filling evenly over the batter, then top with the remaining batter, spreading it evenly to cover the fudge.

  • Bake: Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean (except for a little fudge). The top should be firm and slightly cracked.

  • Cool and serve: Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!

Notes

Fudgy interior: The fudge filling will melt into the bread, creating a gooey center. If you prefer more fudge, feel free to add an extra layer in the middle or drizzle more on top.

Storage: This bread can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature. You can also freeze it for up to a month.
