Description

A delicious and comforting pasta dish with Italian sausage, bell peppers, and a creamy sauce made with white wine and Parmesan cheese. Perfect for a quick and satisfying dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add Italian sausage and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.
  • Add sliced bell peppers, onion, and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until vegetables are tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Pour in chicken broth and white wine. Simmer for 3-5 minutes to reduce the liquid slightly.
  • Stir in heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Add cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to combine, making sure the noodles are coated in the sauce.
  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • If you prefer a spicier dish, you can add red pepper flakes to taste.
  • For a lighter version, you can use a low-fat version of heavy cream.
