- 8 oz spaghetti
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb Italian sausage
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add Italian sausage and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.
- Add sliced bell peppers, onion, and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until vegetables are tender, about 5-7 minutes.
- Pour in chicken broth and white wine. Simmer for 3-5 minutes to reduce the liquid slightly.
- Stir in heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to combine, making sure the noodles are coated in the sauce.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
- If you prefer a spicier dish, you can add red pepper flakes to taste.
- For a lighter version, you can use a low-fat version of heavy cream.
