Description
Mini cheeseburgers topped with crispy tater tots, making for a savory and indulgent bite-sized treat. These mini burgers are perfect for a party, game day, or a fun dinner with the family!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package of frozen tater tots
- 1 lb ground beef (or turkey, if preferred)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 6 slider buns (or mini burger buns)
- 6 slices of cheddar cheese (or your choice of cheese)
- Ketchup, mustard, and pickles (optional, for garnish)
- Lettuce or tomato slices (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven and cook the tater tots according to package instructions until they are golden and crispy.
- While the tater tots are cooking, form the ground beef into small patties, about the size of the mini buns, and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat and cook the mini burger patties for about 3-4 minutes per side, until cooked through and browned on the outside.
- Just before the burgers are finished cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty and allow it to melt.
- Toast the mini buns in the oven or on the skillet for a couple of minutes, until lightly golden.
- Assemble the mini burgers by placing a burger patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top with one crispy tater tot and, if desired, add ketchup, mustard, pickles, lettuce, and tomato.
- Place the top bun on each sandwich and serve immediately.
Notes
- You can use turkey, chicken, or plant-based patties instead of beef for a lighter or vegetarian option.
- Feel free to mix up the cheese variety (American, Swiss, etc.) for different flavors.
- For an extra crispy version, you can make your own homemade tater tots or swap them with hashbrowns.
