Ingredients
Scale
- 1 block of feta cheese
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes
- Olive oil, for frying
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut the feta cheese into long strips.
- Dredge each strip in flour, dip it in the beaten eggs, then coat it with breadcrumbs.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the feta strips until golden brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes.
- Place the fried feta strips on a baking sheet and bake them in the preheated oven for 10 minutes.
- While the feta bakes, heat the honey and chili flakes in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring until the honey is warmed and combined with the chili flakes.
- Drizzle the chili honey over the oven-fried feta rolls before serving.
Notes
- You can adjust the level of heat in the chili honey by adding more or less chili flakes depending on your taste preference.
- If you prefer a crispier texture, you can skip the oven step and fry the feta rolls a bit longer in the pan.
- Serve these rolls as an appetizer or snack at your next party or gathering.
