  • Author: Sarah
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

These crispy oven-fried feta rolls are golden on the outside and soft on the inside, with a spicy-sweet kick from the chili honey drizzle. The perfect appetizer or snack for cheese lovers!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 block feta cheese
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp chili flakes
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

  • Cut the feta cheese into rectangular strips, about 1-2 inches in length.
  • Set up a breading station by placing the flour in one bowl, the beaten eggs in another, and the bread crumbs in a third.
  • Dredge each feta strip in the flour, then dip into the beaten eggs, and coat with bread crumbs.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, fry the feta rolls until they are golden brown and crispy on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  • In a small saucepan, heat honey and chili flakes over low heat, stirring until combined.
  • Once the feta rolls are fried, remove them from the pan and drain on paper towels.
  • Drizzle the chili honey over the fried feta rolls just before serving.

Notes

  • You can adjust the level of heat by adding more or less chili flakes to the honey sauce.
  • Serve with a side of fresh vegetables or as an appetizer at your next gathering.
