Ingredients
Scale
- 1 block feta cheese
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tbsp chili flakes
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
- Cut the feta cheese into rectangular strips, about 1-2 inches in length.
- Set up a breading station by placing the flour in one bowl, the beaten eggs in another, and the bread crumbs in a third.
- Dredge each feta strip in the flour, then dip into the beaten eggs, and coat with bread crumbs.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, fry the feta rolls until they are golden brown and crispy on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- In a small saucepan, heat honey and chili flakes over low heat, stirring until combined.
- Once the feta rolls are fried, remove them from the pan and drain on paper towels.
- Drizzle the chili honey over the fried feta rolls just before serving.
Notes
- You can adjust the level of heat by adding more or less chili flakes to the honey sauce.
- Serve with a side of fresh vegetables or as an appetizer at your next gathering.
