Description

Ina Garten’s Baked Shrimp Scampi is a delightful and easy-to-make dish that combines the classic flavors of shrimp scampi with the simplicity of baking. The shrimp are bathed in a garlicky, buttery sauce and baked until golden and bubbly. It’s perfect for impressing guests at a dinner party or enjoying a cozy meal at home.


Ingredients

  • Large shrimp (peeled and deveined)

  • Olive oil

  • Butter

  • Garlic (minced)

  • Lemon (zested and juiced)

  • White wine (dry)

  • Fresh parsley (chopped)

  • Salt and pepper

  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

  • Bread crumbs (for topping)


Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a baking dish with olive oil or non-stick spray.

  • Prepare the shrimp by placing them in a single layer in the baking dish.

  • Make the garlic butter sauce by melting butter and olive oil in a saucepan. Add garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Stir in white wine, lemon juice and zest, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Let it simmer for 3 minutes.

  • Pour the sauce over the shrimp, making sure they are well-coated.

  • Top with breadcrumbs and fresh parsley. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the shrimp are cooked through.

 

  • Serve immediately, optionally with lemon wedges and your favorite side dish.

Notes

Pasta Option: Serve the shrimp scampi over pasta for a full meal.

Spicy Option: Add more red pepper flakes to kick up the heat

Seafood Variations: You can substitute shrimp with scallops or lobster for a luxurious twist.
