  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 8 oz pasta
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil, chopped
  • Grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium heat until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the onion and garlic. Cook until softened.
  • Add the diced tomatoes and chicken broth. Bring to a simmer.
  • Stir in the pasta and cooked sausage. Cook until pasta is tender.
  • Season with salt and pepper. Serve topped with fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, you can add red pepper flakes or more spicy sausage.
