Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package of Oreo cookies (about 36 cookies)
- 10 oz white chocolate or pink candy melts (or any color you prefer)
- 1/4 cup red or pink sprinkles (optional)
- 1/4 cup heart-shaped sprinkles (optional)
- 6–8 lollipop sticks (or wooden skewers)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (optional, to thin the chocolate)
- 1/4 cup melted dark chocolate or milk chocolate (optional for drizzling)
Instructions
- Prepare the Oreo pops: Gently twist each Oreo cookie to separate the halves. Insert a lollipop stick into the filling of each Oreo, being careful not to break the cookie. Reattach the cookie halves.
- Melt the chocolate: Melt the white chocolate or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval until smooth. If the mixture is too thick, add a tablespoon of vegetable oil to thin it out.
- Dip the Oreos: Dip each Oreo on a stick into the melted chocolate, coating it fully. Tap the stick gently to allow excess chocolate to drip off.
- Decorate: While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle your choice of sprinkles (heart-shaped or colorful) onto the pops. You can also drizzle melted dark or milk chocolate on top for an added touch of flavor and decoration.
- Chill and set: Place the dipped Oreo pops on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes or until the chocolate has fully hardened.
- Serve and enjoy: Once set, your Valentine’s Day Oreo Pops are ready to serve! They make for a cute gift or fun treat for your celebration.
Notes
- You can use any color of candy melts to match the theme of your party or celebration.
- For a fun twist, add a few different types of sprinkles like mini chocolate chips or edible glitter for extra decoration.
- These Oreo pops are great for kids and adults alike! Feel free to get creative with the decorations.
- If you don’t have lollipop sticks, you can also use wooden skewers or simply serve them on a platter without sticks.
