Instructions
- Brew the Espresso:
- Brew a shot of espresso using an espresso machine or make a strong cup of coffee using a coffee maker or French press.
- Steam the Milk:
- In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until warm, but not boiling. Alternatively, you can steam the milk using a milk frother if you have one.
- Once heated, use a frother to froth the milk until it’s creamy and slightly foamy. If you don’t have a frother, whisking the milk by hand will also work for a slightly frothy texture.
- Prepare the Vanilla Caramel Syrup:
- In a small bowl or glass, combine the vanilla syrup (or vanilla extract if using) and caramel syrup. Stir to combine. If you’re using vanilla extract, you might want to add a teaspoon of sugar to balance the flavor.
- Assemble the Latte:
- Pour the brewed espresso into a mug.
- Add the vanilla caramel syrup mixture to the espresso and stir until well combined.
- Slowly pour the steamed milk into the espresso, holding back the foam with a spoon, and then spoon the foam on top of the latte.
- Garnish and Serve:

Notes

- Caramel syrup: You can also make homemade caramel syrup by combining 1 cup sugar, 1/4 cup water, and a pinch of salt in a saucepan, heating until the sugar caramelizes, and then adding 1/2 cup of cream. Let cool before using.
