Ingredients
-
6–8 pre-made cinnamon rolls (refrigerated or frozen, thawed)
-
3 large eggs
-
½ cup milk
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
-
1 tsp ground cinnamon
-
2 tbsp butter (for cooking)
For the glaze:
-
4 oz cream cheese, softened
-
1 cup powdered sugar
-
2–3 tbsp milk or cream
Instructions
-
Cut cinnamon rolls into bite-sized pieces.
-
In a shallow bowl, whisk eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until combined.
-
Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
-
Dip each cinnamon roll piece into the egg mixture, coating thoroughly.
-
Cook bites in skillet, turning occasionally, until golden and cooked through (about 3–4 minutes).
-
While cooking, whisk together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth to make the glaze.
-
Serve warm bites drizzled generously with cream cheese glaze.
Notes
Slightly stale cinnamon rolls soak up the egg mixture better for a custardy texture.
Avoid overcrowding the pan to ensure even cooking.
Keep cooked bites warm in a low oven while finishing the batch.
For extra fluffiness, add a splash of heavy cream to the egg mixture.
Stir glaze before serving if it thickens.
