  • ¾ cup whole milk ricotta (cottage cheese works as a lighter alternative)
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese (Pecorino Romano can also be used)

Instructions

  • Cook the Meat:
    • In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened.
    • Add the garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
    • Add the ground beef and Italian sausage. Break up the meat with a spoon and cook until browned and fully cooked.
